About ME
About Me
For the past 38 years I have been running my own video production company, Motion Video Inc. Over the years, I have produced, filmed, and edited a variety of programming, with the latest being World of Guitar, a 13-part series airing on PBS.
Inspired by my childhood trips to Disneyland, where I remember walking through a garden village and seeing Disney's incredible attention to detail, I thought, maybe one day I could make something similar.
Early Tiki Huts
I was inspired by my mother too. She spent much of her life as an artist, making crafts and selling them at local fairs. I guess creativity’s in the family genes. Starting with just my imagination of what it might look like, I decided to create my first Tiki house in 2018, making it up as I went along. Small details, like beer cans and bottles were among the first finishing touches that brought my idea to life.
After making a few, I began to think I could build more and find a market to sell them. And, here we are. I’m quite proud of my one-of-a-kind Tiki Huts and believe many people will find them a fun, unique and creative addition to their homes, patios, gardens and landscapes.
Current Tiki Hut Construction
My current huts are a combination of the finest hand craftsmanship. The Tiki Huts are made of wood. I then paint the huts, add the bamboo roofs, finishing each one with customized additions.
